      women: Sandra Day O’Connor and Ruth Bader Ginsberg

      African-American men: Thurgood MArshall and Clarence Thomas.

      the second in each category is still on the court.

      Sandra Day O’Connor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg are the only female Justices who have served on the Supreme Court,

      Thurgood Marshall and Clarence Thomas are the only black Justices.
