2. Put his or her client to the stand knowing that the client intends to lie.
3. Advise a client regarding potential defenses to a crime before finding out the facts of the case even though this may lead the client to lie about the facts so as to take advantage of one of the described defenses (e.g., the Jimmy Stewart scenario from Anatomy of a Murder).

Defense Attorney?
Filed Under legal | 6 Comments
captainjackson2004 asked:
Assuming someone has never been arrested before, how would they choose a defense attorney after they have been arrested, detained, or brought in for questioning? They’re in a jail cell or at a police station , and assuming they can afford a good attorney and will not use a public defender, how would they choose a defense attorney? Especially when they only have one phone call? No one answered this question the first time I asked it.
I don’t need an attorney. This is just a general question.

I know that there are many cases that discuss what students can wear or write in a school newspaper, but are there any that discuss the first amendment rights of a student outside of school. Specifically i am thinking of something like malicious comments about a teacher posted on the internet by a student.

I’m not asking for the most influential cases, such as Roe vs. Wade, etc., but I’m asking for court cases that showed that the Court did make up part of the federal government. I’m saying that these cases probably went against what Congress and the president wanted at that time, but the Supreme Court made that decision anyway.
What 3 cases proved that the Supreme Court was just an important a part of the federal goverment as Congress/President?
