JT asked:

My dad and I were in a car accident almost two years ago.

His back and neck are always hurting him from it. And off and on his leg hurts. You should hear him trying to drive, it really gets annoying because it hurts even to drive. He had to miss family functions.

And I suffer from a sore back once and while.

We had our car totalled from the car accident. So we got a lawyer and were planning on sueing this guy.

*The guy rear ended us and we were forced foward into the people in front of us*

So the lawyer he got, pretty much didn’t do $h!t for him. All he did was give him the run-around. And according to my dad, you only have 2 years from the accident to have a lawsuit.

He was cut off from help because the lawyer wouldn’t send paper work and he never returned phone calls and is pretty much taking our money from it.

So is the 2 year thing really true?
What can my dad do to get him to do his job?
How can we fight back and get what we deserve?
Is there a way to sue the lawyer? (My idea)
Is there anything to do?

Both my parents are going to see him Thursday. But the car accident was like April 18. Is it too late to do anything?

This lawyer like did absolutly NOTHING. And pretty much put my family through hell with bills, nothing being done, and yeah that stuff.

I need some advice!
Ok, I’ll give him this information.

I seriously hope it isn’t too late!

CCC asked:

I was wondering if you could help:
My friend’s Dad died in July of 2005, and his assets were in a trust. He was partner in a business, which now has pending lawsuits. There was also a lawsuit filed specifically against him, after his death.
My friend’s brother is the Administrator of the Trust, and has not given my friend copies of any of the legal documentation or distributed any of the assets of the trust.
What valid reasons would my friend’s brother have for freezing all of the trust assets like that? And what kind of liability would a Trustee potentially encounter if they did distribute trust asstets when a lawsuit has been filed, posthumously, against the deceased?
Are there any reasons not to distibute the assets of the trust? (If there are assets not covered under the trust, I understand they would potentially be subject to the posthumous lawsuit, after going through probate.)
Any help is greatly appreciated!
